Since the start of Fliptop
Battle League, and all other Rap Battle League, many Battle MCs became
remarkable, due to their style, delivery, punchlines and flow. However, what
separates our rare find for this month is that he can fused social realities with
his verses, and still deliver a strong punchline. No need to make a long
introduction for him, as we all know who he is. Cultural Worker for the
Marginalized Sectors, and the future of Hip Hop, he is BLKD.
Q&A:
Hip Hop
Q: Who are your musical
influences?
A:Too many to mention. May
Q: You lost to 2khelle,
Loonie, Dello, Aklas and Shernan. If you get a chance to have a rematch among
the five, who would it be and why?
A: Sa totoo lang, ayokong
mag-rematch.
Q: What’s your dream for the
Philippine Hip Hop Scene?
A: Pangarap kong umunlad ang
Pangarap kong lumakas at
Activism
Q: Among the marginalized
sectors in the Philippines, which sector do you prefer working for? Why?
A: Tie eh.
base/audience bilang isang emcee.
Q: How relevant is your
publicity in your Cultural Work?
A: Napakahalaga nito dahil
Q: What misconception about
Activism do you hate most?
Fill in the blanks:
My favorite drink is iced
coffee.
Technology helps
peoples.
Hip Hop is life with
rhythm.
I enjoy watching great
artistry.
Illmatic is Greatest of All Time.
Q: Any message for young and
upcoming MCs?
A: Keep on learning. Keep on
practicing. Keep on doing.
